Useful hints about how to get to the airport
The easiest way to reach Budapest centre is by the shuttle busses (Airport Minibus) operated by Budapest Airport. For € 8.- one way or € 13.- return you can get to any destination within the boundaries of Budapest within a reasonable time.
By car: Budapest Ferihegy Airport is located on route E60 is clearly signposted and easy accessible from Budapest.
A pre-pay local express bus, “Reptér-Busz”, runs between the underground metro terminal, Köbánya-Kispest, and the airport terminals; passengers may wish to alight at Deák tér where the three underground lines converge. By regular public transport it is also simple to get to the airport. You have to take Metro No. 3 (also known as blue metro) and travel until the end station called Kőbanya-Kispest. There you can find the Airport Bus.
Shuttle bus: There is an airport minibus service between the two terminals and any address in Budapest – passengers should state their destination at the Minibus desk. Passengers are carried by 8-11 person Ford Transit mini buses to all destinations. Tickets can be purchased in the Arrival Hall at the Airport Minibus counter. Airport Minibus counters are open daily from 05.00 until 01.00 at the Terminals.
Taxi: Taxis are available from the airport at the taxi stand, but their fares may be unregulated; passengers should make sure that the taxi meter is on before leaving the airport. The regular price should be about HUF 3000-3500 (about € 11-13).
Car parking: There are three short-term car parks situated at basement, Arrival and Departure levels. There is also a long-term car park with security surveillance available.
